Born in a Taxi joins Wyndham 24 - Expect the unexpected across 24 hours!
Get ready for 24 hours of art, live music, movies and more at Wyndham City’s newest festival – 24.
From 6pm Saturday May 6th, Chirnside Park in Werribee will be transformed for 24 hours of fun and wonder!
This unique experience is free and features live music on the Riverside Stage, a live action painting project turning an old car into a dazzling neon artwork, and tunes from the alluring UKI – a giant, robotic insect on wheels with its own DJ decks!
Bring a picnic of your own or grab a bite to eat at the many food trucks and nearby eateries Wyndham has to offer!
As dusk fades to dark, the park will take on a magical glow with a garden of 400 illuminated flowers in bloom and other ambient experiences to enjoy through to the early hours of the morning.
Grab a beanbag and watch a film at the 24 Hour Outdoor Cinema, or get your body moving the Silent Disco - or do both of course!
We’ll be joining the fun with our other worldly Sacred Serfs, and keep your eyes peeled for the Illuminated Angels as you soak up the atmosphere!
As the sun comes up enjoy yoga for all ages and Indian classical music, before joining in the paper plane competition!
It’s all happening at 24, whether you stay up through the night, or drop in across the twenty-four hours, whatever you do, don’t miss out!
Highlights will include:
Live music on the Riverside Stage including Nhatty Man, Djirri Djirri Dancers, NOMAD and many more
UKI: Part giant insect, part mechanical Robot, part DJ booth on wheels
Imaginary Botanicals: A glowing garden maze of illuminated flowers from The Indirect Object
Silent Disco
The Curious Game and Roving Performances from Born in a Taxi
Chromatica: A giant kaleidoscope
24 hour Outdoor Cinema: a back-to-back program of cult classics – each inspired by the theme of time (think Groundhog Day!). Headphones provided for a silent cinema experience!
